Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene (FEP) is generally more rigid than PTFE, with somewhat increased tensile strength. It is transparent, less porous and permeable to oxygen. Because of its slightly higher coefficient of friction, FEP is easier to retain in a compression fitting than PTFE .
